Libby Currie - BSc (Birmingham, UK)
After falling in to dental assisting purely out of need for a job, Libby was a little surprised to find her calling. Over the next year she swiftly achieved her Dental Assisting qualification in the UK and found a passion that she wanted to develop further. Libby applied to study Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the University of Birmingham and qualified in 2010. After a honeymoon in NZ in 2011, she and her husband were sold.
Since arriving in 2013, Libby worked alongside a Periodontal (gum) specialist in Lower Hutt. A plot of land in Waikanae lured her up the coast and a little pestering of Alana landed her at Beachside Dental in September 2018.
Libby enjoys meeting new patients and helping them maintain their teeth by tailoring comprehensive treatment to the need of the individual. She firmly believes that no replacements are as good as your own teeth.
Outside of work, Libby has two little girls who keep her busy. She enjoys growing succulents but has no clue what occupies the many pots on her deck!

Kim has built up her skills and knowledge from attending many sterlisation, reception and general practice managing courses while at Beachside. Kim is highly motivated and organised, which makes her the perfect practice manager.
Aside from giving up multiple weekends, helping maintain the gardens or going through the lengthy process of validating our sterilisation machines, Kim can be found cycling and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
